Visual identity design - Adobe Illustrator

When starting to work at Commentor I was surprised to find out that two very different logos was used simultaneously as the company's visual identity. Two logos existed and people used the one they liked the best without consulting any guidelines or branding stragegy. Therefore I purposed to fill out empty hours with the task of bringing the eldest logo (which had been used for nearly 10 years) up to date visually and define some guideline for the use of it.

I removed the tagline of the old logo - a sentence not telling much about the company anyway -  in order to make the logo more versatile (in small prints this old logo tagline was impossible to read anyway) and tightened the graphics up, making the overall impression more geometric and clean. The font was then changed from Arial to Museo Sans, in order to give it a more modern and digital feel.
