ENVIRONMENTAL APP ICON

I designed this app icon for Danmarks Miljøportal's app. The app dispalys animal and plant species in Denmark, based on records from public authorities and designed primarily for nature enthusiasts.
I chose the small dotted frog as a symbol for the app because this animal often lives around the many lakes and streams characterizing danish nature and furthermore would make the app icon differ from other nature related app.
The light blue colour is the main accent colour of app pages itself - and one of the primary identity colour for Danmarks Miljøportal - and therefore an abvious choice for the app icon. Additionally the simplicity of the overall design fits both the iPhone and the very flat Windows Phone aesthetics.
