THE LITTLE PRINCE ON IPAD

Adobe Illustrator - Adobe Photoshop

Finishing my Digital Aesthetics course on the IT-University I - and two fellow students - did a design project attempting to combine childrens gaming and reading experience.  We wanted to achieve an expansion of a story-world by transmitting the sensual, emotional and cognitive expression of the book into a tablet game.

To test our augmented reading experience concept we made a prototype using a physical copy of the book ”The Little Prince” with QR codes tagged inside. When scanning these codes with an iPad, a series of mini-games that related to the corresponding narrative in the book, could be played. The mini-games explored and/or expanded the central theme of the book chapter, enabeling the child to reflect on the events in the story.
