KIDS MOBILE SPY GAME
Concept development - Game design - Usertesting - Interaction design & wireframing
During my internship at design- and communication bureau Bysted, my largest task was to help chief digital advisor Jonas Friisberg Nielsen developing a mobile spy game for a cold war museum. The entire museum exhibition was done by Bysted - with both classis posters and interactive installations - and our task were to make an intriguing and action packed game that would acturally make children interested in the cold war.
The game is a location based transmedia mobile game, meaning that a digital device (in this case an iPhone or iPod) facilitates the game, that only can be played on the specific location of the museum. The players interact with the physical in order to find clues and answers for the game to progress.
I participated in coming up with the initial idea, making the concept and fully developing the game design. Besides this it was my resonsibility to draw wireframes, come up with the different tasks within the game and prepare and execute usertests.

In the spy game kids look for QR codes to scan, in the physical surroundings of a real cold war bunker. When scanned a task has to be completed in order to get yet another clue as to whom the spy might be.
All visible clues on the map contains a hint of where to find the physical clues in the cold war bunker.
The story of the game is introduced by a small video with the General, explaining the situation and setting things in motion.
Not all clues are visible and unlocked from the beginning of the game. Certain clues and certain numbers of completed tasks unlocks other clues.
